zuvo feedback
I've received a lot of great feedback and will incorporate the suggestions into the next version of the zuvo spec. Please post comments or send me an email with any more ideas.

zuvo DTD
I'm going to be working on the zuvo DTD this weekend. I'll be basing it off of the current zuvo spec so if you have any suggestions, please send em my way.

Great "Catablog" post
Adam Rifkin has a great post about "catablogging" (product syndication). Kevin Hughes has some GREAT comments and raises some really interesting ideas. I need to read some of the other links. I'm sure there are some great ones in there.

RSS shopping aggregator
David from blojsom posted a great article about shopping syndication. This is definitely the goal of zuvo. I don't think that RSS is the way to go however. RSS is great for sharing news type data. But products have so much more meta info that RSS just doesn't support. I would definitely like some feedback.

I have been thinking about the subject of "product syndication" for a couple of years now. I have been creating ecommerce websites for quite awhile and wished there was an easy way to share the product information across many sites easily, or even automatically. Some first thoughts were some sort of proprietary COM object that would upload CSV's to a central server every time product information was changed. After working on this method I realized that something more along the lines of RSS was necessary. Now I understand this is not perfect, but I do believe this is a good start. Ecommerce sites simply place a "zuvo.xml" file on their server. Here is an example. Here is the working spec. Please give me feedback and join in the project!
